Customer Review: Smart little teakettle

We gave several finishing pieces of V & B's Twist Alea to our niece when she married last year. She reports back from London that she is having marvelous little tea parties with the kettle, and enjoys setting a beautiful table with the remainder of her set.
The predominantly yellow color found in the set is cheerful and modern. The additional squares of color provide a tie-in for adding nearly any other color to your table without clashing.
Description of Villeroy & Boch Twist Alea Kitchen Teakettle
Lively colors in mosaic formation distinguish the Twist Alea design from Villeroy & Boch. Choices abound in this series, including the choice of plate color backgrounds in a shade of lemon zest, "Twist Limone," or a celery hue, "Twist Verde". Purists might opt for the simplest of all - the mosaic trim on white, "Twist Caro". A full complement of serving and decorative accessories is available, as well. The pleasing paintbox color cubes and their lineup on each piece create a playful pattern that will enliven any table no matter what the occasion.There simply is no tableware design more fun or colorful than Villeroy & Boch's Twist Alea pattern. Lively pinks, blues, and oranges in checked-mosaic formation make this Twist Alea teakettle too bright and cheery to shelve. A lemon body with two-tone accent dots is broken up horizontally with a pale green stripe and white bordering that melds with the handle and spout. The cheerful, color-palette checks make stunning bordering for the base and lid, and evoke a playfulness that livens up any kitchen or dining table. Made of vitrified porcelain for strength and durability, this teakettle is both dishwasher- and microwave- safe.
