Description of Villeroy & Boch Home Elements Tea Strainer

The Home Elements tea strainer is made of long-lasting, nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel; its fine wire mesh keeps leaves out of tea for clean flavor. The strainer has a cylindrical basket shape, with a small wire handle for lifting it out of the hot water. There are three small hanger handles on the sides of the strainer that fit perfectly into the mouth of the Home Elements teapot. It can easily be used on its own, though, since it's small enough to fit in many tea or coffee cups.

Other table service pieces in the Home Elements collection include butter and margarine dishes, a covered sugar or jam bowl, and a mill for salt or pepper. The Villeroy & Boch Home Elements tea strainer is sturdy enough to go into the dishwasher, but detergents may affect the flavor of tea, so scrubbing with a dish brush under hot water is recommended. The strainer has a 3-inch diameter and stands 3-3/4 inches tall. Home Elements teapot not included. --Garland Withers
